Sierra K. Chandler is an associate in the Matrimonial & Family Law Department. She devotes her practice to the areas of family law and domestic violence.
Sierra guides clients through every stage of the marital lifecycle and domestic violence matters. Her work encompasses mid-marriage agreements, prenuptial agreements, divorce and separation proceedings, custody and support issues, and post-judgment modifications. She is proficient in non-litigious methods of dispute resolution, such as mediation, both on the behalf of her clients and as a mediator herself. Recognizing the deeply personal and sensitive nature of these issues, Sierra navigates delicate and emotionally charged situations with professionalism, discretion, and compassion.
Before entering private family law practice, Sierra served as the Honorable Magali M. François’s law clerk for the 2019-2020 term. Her clerkship centered on the post-judgment matrimonial, juvenile, special immigrant juvenile, and neglect dockets.
Sierra earned her law degree at Rutgers Law School and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, at Pace University. During law school, Sierra was a Special Education Unit law clerk for the New York City Department of Education and was awarded the Marsha Wenk Fellowship at the ACLU of New Jersey.
